# Progress - Current Status

## Technical Debt
|
|
- **Email Implementation Duplication**: Two similar email implementations exist:

- Active: Direct implementation in `/src/app/api/contact/route.ts`

- Unused: Utility function in `/src/lib/email.ts`

- **Potential Consolidation**: Could refactor to use single email utility
|
|
|
|
## Recent Accomplishments
|
|
- ✅ **Headshot Replacement**: Successfully updated Mark's headshot on about page
|
|
- Replaced old portrait (3648x5472) with new 2025 landscape headshot (2000x1333)
|
|
- Updated CSS layout from `aspect-[2/3]` to `aspect-[3/2]` for proper display
|
|
- Renamed files: `mark.jpg` → `mark-old-2024.jpg`, `Mark 2025.jpg` → `mark.jpg`
|
|
- Achieved 80% file size reduction (2.4MB → 459KB) for better performance
|
|
- Preserved original as backup with clear naming convention
|
|
- Created comprehensive Memory Bank documentation system
|
|
- Analyzed current email system architecture
|
|
- Documented all technical components and configurations
|
|
- Completed email configuration modifications and testing
|
|
|
|
## Next Immediate Steps
