Current Task

Added new meeting minutes for January 11, 2025 Board Meeting at Black Coffee Roasting Company

Recent Changes

  1. Added new meeting minutes for January 11, 2025:
    • Updated Minutes.tsx to include new entry for January 11, 2025 Board Meeting at Black Coffee Roasting Company, Missoula, MT
    • Added entry at the beginning of minutesData array to maintain newest-to-oldest order
    • PDF file minutes-01112025.pdf was already placed in client/public/minutes/
  2. Added new meeting minutes for March 8, 2025:
    • Updated Minutes.tsx to include new entry for March 8, 2025 Board Meeting at The Break Espresso
    • Added entry at the beginning of minutesData array to maintain newest-to-oldest order
    • PDF file was already placed in client/public/minutes/minutes-03082025.pdf
  3. Added 6.jpg to rotating photo carousel:
    • Updated ImageCarousel.tsx to include /photos/6.jpg in images array
    • Photo now appears in 5-second rotation sequence
  4. Replaced PDF files with corrected versions (user confirmed pushed to git)
  5. Fixed CACHEBUST deployment issue:
    • Created stack.env file in repository with CACHEBUST=1736003093
    • Updated docker-compose.yml to reference stack.env file
    • Repository deployments in Portainer require stack.env to be in Git repo
    • MCP query revealed Portainer creates virtual stack.env for UI deployments but needs physical file for repository deployments
  6. Updated email configuration for production server compatibility:
    • Tested SMTP ports on production VPS server (chaulmark@chrishaulmark.com)
    • Port 587: BLOCKED (Connection refused)
    • Port 465: BLOCKED/INTERRUPTED (likely blocked)
    • Port 2525: ACCESSIBLE (Connection succeeded)
    • Updated server/src/api/sendEmail.ts to use port 2525 with explicit host configuration
    • Changed from service: 'gmail' to host: 'smtp.gmail.com', port: 2525, secure: false

Next Steps

COMPLETED: All changes have been successfully deployed to production server

  1. ✅ Committed and pushed email configuration changes to Git
  2. ✅ Pulled changes on production VPS server (chaulmark@chrishaulmark.com)
  3. ✅ Rebuilt and restarted Docker container successfully
  4. ✅ Container is running on port 801 with updated email configuration using port 2525

Solution Summary

  • Problem: Portainer repository deployments require stack.env file in Git repo
  • Solution: Created stack.env with CACHEBUST variable and updated docker-compose.yml
  • Future: Update CACHEBUST value in stack.env and push to force rebuilds

Technical Notes

  • Website uses React with TypeScript
  • Minutes component includes desktop/mobile viewing modes
  • Sorting functionality maintained for all columns
  • Minutes data ordered from newest (top) to oldest (bottom) in the source array
